Welcome to denmark hilary. Thanks. I love denmark and its shitty weather. Really i do.

No but its not actally that bad. Bit over dramatic. But really the weather is raewlly bad atm and apparenlæty will get alot worse. So make the most of positive degreees! But i am really excited for when the ice skating thing is put up in Næstved=) I want to go everyday until i can ice skate! hahaha thats the plan anyway. And ice skate iun the rain and snow and the sun that comes out every two weeks for half an hour. I actally look forward to that so much. Last time the sun came out was on sunday and i ran outside in shorts and a t shirt to try expose my poor sun deprived skin to the sun. But lasted abot 30 seconds til i had to go in for shoes and jackets. hahaah. Then i swang on the swing until it went aaway again. Was real nice. So appriate the sun!

Another bike accident to add to the list.

5. Fall off waiting for a car outside the Menstrup shop. was kind of embaressing. At last everyone is kind of old out there.

And had a really nice birthday last thrsday. Doind actally make anything for my birthday. But thats allright, my host family made it real nice for me. They got me a 'Kage pige' thats a man made out of danish pastery. Its spose to be for lil kids birthday parties... haa but it was real yum. =P Very danish. uhh and yeh. Jeg spiste meget meget kage. haah.

So im finally free.

This last month has been lots of bad stuff but then lots f good stuff of course too!

Bad stuff..

. got a fine for 720 krone for a libary book.

. didnt see the sun for 2 weeks

. rained ALOT

. spent way too much money on tikets and food

. lost my phone in copenhagen

. broke my camera

. got lost alot

. found out i definlty dont have the right cothes for danish winter

. found out i have no money to get the right clothes for danish winter

. broke my nails bowling. haha

. havnt been allowed oout at all

Yeeh.

But good stuff.

. made sad eyes at the libarian and got my fine cancelled

. sun came out yesterday!

. hasnt rained this weekend

. starting to bring my own rugbrød

. found my phone at the movies

. cameras still broken, but its not my fault at least. haha.

. got lost, byut always managed to find my way. eventally

. got to go out finally

. started learning guitar and piano and yoga

. got 2 new skipping ropes

uh.

today, i was at kelsis cuz my bus didnt go for 2 hours, so i tryed walæking into town, nut it was dark, and i thought i was going the right way, but turns out i fully wasnt cuz i was in the middle of no where in the dark. So i just ran and ran and ran. Until finnally i got to the golf caourse which is about 10 km from my house and so i ran real fast and got to the last roundabout thats 6 km from my house and stopped at the bus shelter cuz i was so so tired. And then! My bus! Went past me. and stopped! so i gotta jump on. i was sooo happy! And so after running for almost an hour i was finally home. was real nice. So i got a big bowl of cornflakes. mmm.

hahaha aw man i struggle through life. its great.

I made dinner!

This is a big step in my life, for th first time.. i made dinner! All by myself=) haah i dont think it was very nice 4 my family thou.. cuz everytime thye offered help id cut them down completly in a maybe no so nice way. Buut in the end it was sweet! they enjoyedit. or they were real nice about it anyway haha. i made chicken fillets with paprika and chilli and whatewver other things i could find in the pantry. I started off with a recipe, but i didnt ewnd up using it... haah. but it was sweet! im pretty proud of myself tht everything got eaten!
'Buutt .. i made fudge biscuit too! Itwas a mission tryna find coco in denmarkk.. looked in like evey shop. then i came home and was like *why does denmark not sell coco! and it turned out there was some chilling in the pantry. haha. so i got biscuits and made fudge biscuit with my sis. was sweet. i ae like 3 pices cuz i missed that stúff so much. sorta considering going down and geting more right now. maybe...

This morning we were talking about swimming and Christian was like how come yoiu never take me? and so we jumped in the car and went to the beach 4 a early morning 'dip'. Hahaha me and Johannas went in and out causl as but christian was jumping and yelling it was funny! he is soft. On sunday me and Johnnas took the moter bike .. just in togs and shorts at 10 at night haha. so it was super cold and super dark! it was fun. thgen we camped at the beach and drunk tea. and ate chcolate. was sweet.

last night FLIIGHT OF THE CONCORDS was on tv! so i made everyone who was home watch it! i was the only one craking up haah. No one appriates nz humor. crappy danish humor. haha. but it was good=) made me happy. and nowwer already talking about when my host fam come visit me in nz. wev got it all planned, thyre gonna cpome next summer. they asked if i cpould 'take them to see the maori people'... yeeh.. sure. made me laugh.

and now wer gonna play wii! we play wii. ahha. family bonding these holidays=) real nice. since i cant go out.

I hate tht stupid cat. Just finished clean cat shit off my bedroom floor. no more trying to bond. I give up trying to like it. ater i finished i went downstairs and there it was. And it fuully knew what it had done. So i kicked it. And Farmor didnt really like that haha. But still that cat shpouldnt be shitig in my room! ui dont in his room! grr. Now my room stinks. thanks. alot.

ok thats the end of my compliants.

Iv drunken so much tea in the last 2 weeks. Cuz iv decided to go 'cold turkey' as my host dad would say, and stop drinking coffee. cuz coffee is baaaad. nah i just think its sad to be addicted to cooffee at 16. And iv run out. and the coffee they buy is pretty terrible. haha. so i dont want to buy more =P proberly the real reason. aahh.anyway.

Uhh last weekend i went to camp. it wa real nice seeing all the other exchange kids in this part of sealand. Cuz it was devided into 5 sections i think. So there were like maybe 50 kids? It was alot of fun thou! On saturday night we got real hungry so we stole a loaf of bread and some oats and a cartan of yougurt and some jam. of course.oh and i took some bread chocolate too haha. yum =) and yeh we talked about stuuff. annd me and Farmor made cookies for me to take=) tat was nice! i will add a photo.. haha. ral pretty! she mixed all the stuff and i rolled and cut. and decorated. team effort. haha

ooh nother fun thing was the strike that was at the school. from what i kow.... it was about that the govenernment.. a dude called haarder i think.. wants to cut the schopol money buiget which means bigger classes and less resauces. Sooo.... strike! it was fun tho cuz big banners were mde and stuff and we went thru næstved and did chants and stuff. i had no idea what i was chanting about haha. But dedocation to the school. im saving danish kids futures! So had some of 3 days with no classes. was pretty sweet. my first protest. haha nice

Uhhh. so i spose to make dinner one night for my fam.. well last thursaday acttally but i forgot to get sruff. buut i have no idea wgat to make.. im leaning towards spagetty on toast. haha. nah i dunno. itl be fun. i atally tryed finding stuff to majke fudge out of. buut i cnt find anywhere that sells cocoa.. iyts so weried... maybe its called something else here or something? but one day ill make it =D

More accidents.

busy busy busy. so much stuff has happened but i dunno what to write.
i fall off my bike. thats proberly the most exciting thing.its funny cuz iv already weritten about falling off my bike in one of my first posts. i can tell this will be a reacuuring theme in my exchange year haha. wish i had some photos... but my memory card doesnt seem to be working? i dunno why. but yeh so i guess you want to hear about it? well. i was biking along. then suddenly BAM! and i was on the curb. with some tooth missiong and my lip and chin grazed up. haahaha and thats all ill elaborate on that=)

Yeh im actally understanding alot more in class now which is kinda fun. Like i can sit there and concentrate really hard and i can pick out words. ahha that sounds pretty sad that i get kicks out of understanding whats going on hahhah. but seriously! try being an exchange student! like when people translate something funny. hahaah or say something formal as. aw its just funny. then ppl wonder why your laughing or smiling at something like *my mother doesnt allow me to whatever* it jus sounds real silly.

mmm just had the best dinner ever! famliy time=)had steak and baked potaotes... very kiwi. i had missed steak. think my iron levels will be crappy from not eating much meat here. man i could never be vegeterian..

oohhh we git a piano from the naghbours. so im gonna learn to play the piano so far iv been playig christmas carols everynight for Farmor and irgner the garderner who just turned 95. Still thriving! Hres a tank. But yeh by the time im fnished here ill be pro at piano. watch out rebecca! hahah.

Yeh. Think it will be fun to read this in a couple of years after my exchange. haha

Hej!

Just went for a sweet swim down at the beach with my host dad! was verrry varm! neeej! det er koldt! meget koldt. its real cool cuz now when i type... i think of the danish words for the words i know. det godt!=Deg er getting better.quite quickly too! men not tghis weekend thou... cuz i hung out with exchange kids yesterday and last night and we didnt speak any danish... haah but it was nice! cuz 2 americans... andy and joe and 2 kiwis... sylvia and dannelle came. and we went to the beach. dont think i was that much fun cuz i was suuuper tired and uhh.. jeg drikke lidt too muchØlehaha. bbut thats allgood they loved it. but yeh the beach was real nice. remnded me alot of nz summer. but we drunk danish øle and ate buns and cheese which is so danish. haha. felt kinda sorry 4 the other guys thou, cuz hadnd showered in the last 2 days... or changed my clothes in the last 3. they love it it thou. embrace it. haha but when i finally came home after no showers or clean clothes and 15 km bike ride in the real hottnees... i was looking pretty tragic. i really like the bike home thou. im fully gonna try do it more! cuz it felt like i was driving. just really slow.. and with pedels.. and alot more effort.. but still almost the same. and i didnt have to catch the stupid bus that costs 28 krone. bulshit. thats proberly the only thing i hate about denmark. the public transport. it sucks! i can catch the train to copenhagen for cheaper then it is to go into rtown and back on the bus. guh! maybe i should be less lazy and just bike. haahah måske. i sung to aqua when i was riding along. it was fun. aqua is danish btw?! i didnt know that! pretty cool i thought. ummm i dunno what to write.. real tired. jeg er meget træt. havnt slept alot this weekend. i miss my water bed! aww man im so excited to go to bed tonight! it has new sheets and everything. funally washed my sheets last wedensday for the first time in denmark.. yeh festy as. pretty proud actally. and i do my own washing and all that. yuh im getting civilised. hahahaha.=) aw man i gotta get up in 7 hours. and i cant miss anyy school cuz im already on 9.36% for the stuff i didnt do .. which i still dont actally get what it is. way too confusing! should be sweet thou. found out today im doing some poresentation at a school on thursday to some 9th graders. its funny cuz i think of them as lil kids...but thyl fully be the same age as me. yeeeh. found my AFS booklet thing that has lots of stuff about culture and stuff that i was spose to read b4 i came... =S not after.. but allgood and anyway.. it has lots of maoori words in it! so im teacjhing my host dad maori. hahaha soo funny cuz i cant speak it ither =P but sshh. i rekon that nz shoud learn moari cuz i feel real dumb cuz everyone else can speak at least 2 languages... but i can ony speak one hahah. soon dansk too thou! yay. ohhh i fully forgot to say i wenbt camping! finally! theres this lil place near where i live that has this cute lil scout camp and iv wanted to camp therte for soo long and finally i got some keen people to come. just the exchange kids thou. cuz danish people are soft. haha but nah det er fun! i love camping-.... vi drikker lidt øle og wodka. hahaha nej nej lidt mere. og spiste meget lollies og junk food. haha yum! made a sweet fire too. in the hut! thats something you cant do in nz. cuz of the fire bans. well .. you cant lit fires on pontoons anyway. super! im tired. im going to my bed. have a super next month or week or until i decide to writre it again. ja! vi ses!

hahha naaw very significant day for me=) ccuuuz exactly 1 month ago i jumped off that plane in copenhagen after a almost 30 hour rejsen(journey i think) haha. and maaaan its gone sooo quickly! they toold us the first month will go soo slow and youl be homesick and misrable as.. but they lie! gone by soo quick! it sucks! thats like a whole 1 11th of my time here gone. aagh! and im making the most of it oviousdly and sitting in my room on the ground cuz the water beds too mission,,, writing in my blog cuz people (lorne) keep hassling me about it. what a mate. but yeeeeh. its a really nice day today too... and likea sub has been put in the back of the flower car so its gangs as now. hahah =D oohhh went for our sunday night swim... on monday cuz we forgot on sunday. it was SO COLD. and it was still summer! well the last day of summer anyway. i think today is the first day of autum. maybe. which meeeans its starting to get colder! part from today which is hot. ja. oohhh jaaa my danish has improved alot i think. like i can sit ther in class now and concentrate real hard and reconise some of the words. loike-... spise and mad and sulten and det and ikke and synes and simple words that iv somehow picked up. likre one da6y i came home from school and was like jeg har glemt min mad, men jeg køber æble i skole og køber brød eftermiddag. which isnt really that right i dont think... but close! i was stoaked! hahaha cuz my hosts understood what i was tryna say=)

oohhhh in the weekend i went up to copenhagen aaaall bymyself and fully got on the riht trains and busses and everything. that was a big acheivement. hahaah. went to Christiana that was pretty sweet! its laxed back as! there was this dude running thru tye villagy thing and then theese people were like dude! stop running! but oviusly in danish... but that what the would have said. ja ja! haha. and yeh that was prety funny. want to go back there sometime. met up with some of the copenhagen exchange kids so that was nice seeing them again and talking bout ... ? stuff! how we all miss hugs. cuz people rnt very huggy in denmark. k,.. biy of a generlisation... but they rnt really! soo lots of hugging and being touristy. haaha ooohhh fully wanted to go see the lil mermaid sobce its like a danish icon and all. kinda like the big carrot and stuff in nz i think. annd well.. it wasnt as life changing as i thought it would be.. but took some sweet pictures anyway. just 4 kicks. then tourist took our photos. im still waiting to be tagged on facebook. theeen cath lots of trains... tryed catching a bus. but then decided to walk after finding out the bus wasnt gonna go for 50 minutes.. but then 5 minutes later it drive right past us. it was rats as. so we missioned it to sebs house andwas way too late to go to the party his sister was having so chilled on the curb with our sommersby for a while. haha our "danish street party" =P yyeh 2 man party. ummm thehn had a sweet sleep. and woke up and left sebs and missioned it back to Næstved again. annd jaaa! was really nice seeing seb and a few of the other exchange kids again. even thou i was keen to thrive and only semi thrived. ummm im actly fibding my way round heaps more now. i can walk alll the way from school into town now without even getting lost. its great! and fully find most of my classes. pretty much dane! hahaaha but stttill no one can understand my english cuz i fully just dont speak properly apparently. so its pretty funny in class. i go to talk to someone and just end up alkijng to myself. haha its great. and i never realised how mch of what i say is actaly slang! thats nz as. haah like as! and keen. and keen as. and festy. cuz in dansh fest means partty.. so it doesnt really make that much sensne when i say like ew man gthats fest as. funny thou. yaaah! went 4 a ride in the flower just then! was pretty sweet. what do i miss? thts what lots of people have been asking me latly. i miss having the freedom of driving. m. water still. hugs. clothes haha. yup thats pretty much it. oohh and you guys. i spose. hahaha. nah yeh but i not misrable about it thou! oooohhh and people understanding what im saying! thaaaats what i miss the most actally. and not, not knowing whats actally happpening any of the time. ja! but i like danish again. we have bit of a love hate relaionshop sometimes. cuz its jus sooo hard when i just want to know whats going on but its a huge effort to translate and stuff. but you get used to it.

oohhhhh ánd if marna or seymoyr ever read this... i hope you still move my table into your line so theres 3 insteada 2. and i hope you still wag every english period o go "sstudy" with me in art. and fudge fridays! im really sorry you guys dpnt vhave fudge anymore.. hahaha. aww tradition! cnt break traditions. yeeep. and thats all i have to say about that. =D
