Back in New Zealand

My final blog entry..
This is kind of ending my exchange year completely now! No more Denmark.. no more danish to learn... no more blog to write. Little bit sad actually.

End of an error ;)

But i did do a few things since my last blog. I went to thailand :)
And it was super nice. Thanks to my very nice host father and Pares ma and far. :)

What i noticed most about Thailand was the contrast. In Bangkok there were huge sky scrapers with primitive wooden buildings just next to it.

Very cool ;)

You probably have seen all about the shootings and protests in Bangkok not too long ago.. was really interesting to talk to Pares parents about it. Inside info.. ;)  This is a place a bit like Christiana in Denmark where freedom is very supported. There were lots of holes in the garages where bullets had gone.

Tuk tuk!

But yeh Thailand was very nice way to end my exchange year. Then i went back to Dk where i stayed for 5 days then went p to Copenhagen to the end of year camp. At camp we just slept, ate, made mess, cleaned, then left. haha and then after 40ish hours and lots of yum plane food we were back! Got all freaked out cuz the immigration form said if you fail to declare anything you could get 5 years in prision. And i wasnt about to risk that! So of course i ticked everything there was.. and of course got searched for ages and ages. Then had my first frozen coke in a year.

Funny to hear new zealand accents ... and just walkikng through school hearing bit of peoples convosations is weird.
Today i went to a sausage sizzle fundrasier my sister was doing. And yesterday i chopped a hole lot of onions and smelt real nice. And thats pretty much all that happens in New Zealand.
Sausages and onions.

Goodbye my loyal readers. Thankyou for reading... :D
Vi ses!

Og tak for aar!

20 more days!

(

Iv been a lil neglectful of my blog latly.. and i have legit excuses too!
The weathers been super nice. And i had exams in school to 'study' for. And I have work for new zealand to do. And my room to tidy. And hoodies to order. And stuff to do...

But I was suprised how much stuff you can acclimate in one year!Already chucked out so many bags of stuff. Its a lil sad actally. I liked my stuff. I had growen kind of attached to everything i had. Like brochures and stuff and bits of paper with notes. I have yet to find a few missing libary books from school too.. :/

And i mentioned hoodies.. i am also very surprise at how much work ordering hoodies for exchange students is.

And exams. Are over! I did two 'exchange student' ones. One speaking and one writing to test our danish. I think i did ok.
And i did an english exam. I think i did ok.. ;)
And a AT one on the Holocaust. I got a 7 grade! Which is also ok. I think.

hahaah.

Last weekend i went to Århus, which is on Jutland, which is the one attached to Germany and visited Catherine. Who was an exchange student in New Zealand last year who stayed with me for a while. Was really nce! We went to Asos, which is a art muesum. And saw 'The Boy'! Hes so cool..

Stole this from kelsi actally. But its still the sae guy i saw too. :)
Hes almost 5 meters tall! So cool..

Summer time almost!

Madrid

The day before yesterday i came home from Madrid. Whichj is in Spain. I went with my class 2F :)
It is actlly areally nice city. So much is happening all the time its crazy. I mean, theres more things going on on a monday night then there ever is on a friday or saturday night here. haha.
Det er vores lærer Henrik. Han er sjovt ;)
                                                    Men han er lidt forvirret..

We did lots of walking, and lots of eating and lots of stuff like that.
But i got a crazy spanish dieaese and couldnt do anything for two days. Haha. Nah. I just didnt listion and drunk the tap water. Cuz im tough like that.

Vi drikker stor øl

Found some nice places for drinks and stuff. And some not so nice places... And alsi met some funny people. One night ended up running aroiund a few hours before ouir plane left lookiing for a pizza bar with a group of either polish or spanish or switz people. We never found the pizza bar.

Theres a lot of nice looking places in Madrid though. Ans some real nice muesiumsd and art gallerys.

Vi har super nice vjer
Det var sol :)

Sol!

Got lost once trying to find the supermarket to get some water. And i kept going further and further cuz i kept seeing interesting shops .. and it was really sad cuz i was lost. And it was rainig. With no phone. And no one speaks english. But you have to get lost i guess. All part of the experiance ;)
But on the metro i saw a poor nervous looking woman and she was also lost. And english. So that was nice :)

Yes this would be metro which is not in nz. And it was hard i guess to see so many homeless- this is a photo of some homeless peoples houses. Contrasts a lot from denmark i think. And new zealand.

Flot arcitecture

Chupachup :)

Spring :)

Hello to all my keen readers...

Mum and Lorne proberly.

Hehe

Its now spring! In march... :S so confusing. And at school there are baby chickens :) Theyr so sweet. I named one frank. But then i found out they already have names. I was kind of disapointed. Hopefully they arent getten eaten after the school is finished with them. I will take them home and they can go live in the chickem house with Jeff the roster :)

Vi drikker kafe ud igen :)
Det er nice
Fordi det er ikke så koldt og ikke så mange sne nu

Iv eaten so much cornflakes in the last two days. I ate for breakfast.. then before i went out yesterday.. wheni came home.. and right now.

Dont make me eat any more...

But theres still four packets siting in the cuboard that my host dad bought for me.

'sigh'

hard life ;)

Saw Alice in Wonderlans last night. It was sweet :) I like Alce in Wonderland.

Oohh my highlight of the week is this new sommersby thats just came out. I was casually walking around town and went into superbest to buy some coffee... cuz the coffee we had was really really bad and we have a new coffee maker and whats a beeterer way to celebrate than with new coffee? And I walked in.. and sitting right there was this huge stand.. and on it was all these sommerbys! But they wernt normal sommerbys.. they were yellow. And they were flower flavoured! And its been almost a hole week and i still havent tryed it.
Im wanting to save it for a special moment. Becaues you dont get a new flavoured sommersby every day.
Especially when it tastes like a flower ;)

Norway and AFS stuff

A few weeks ago i had another AFS camp. To check on usa and stuff like that. Was nice to see the other exchane kids in south Sealand.

Tror jeg det er Små group?
Måske.
Der er New Zealand, Americans, Brsilian, Fransk, og Hong hong.
Real multi kulturl i kamp. :)

And then.. We are just having winter holidays! So i went with my family to Norway! It was a lot of fun. I lernt how to not fall off skis and snowboards. It was nice. ;)
¨

So we were only on the baby hills.. and i only snowboarded on the hill for 3-5 year olds that was like 30 meters high. But it was fun!
Our hotal was real nice too, after you finished yopu could skate right off the lift into the hotal. And i offically hate skis. Thyr so heavy and awkward to carry.

Since the hotal was right there after the main thing had closed i could go down to the slope and learn to snowboard wihtout hitting too many lil kids. The dude was real nice and ran along with me on the lift thing on my snowboard til i manged to do it without falling off. ha ha ha
And eventally i ´manged to skate down the hill without falling off :) So proud.

So now keen to go to Happy Valley on Mt Ruapahu.

Its getting warmer!!
This weekend its been over 0 deg´rees! Which meansthe snow is melting a bit. Which means its perfect for igloo building!
A childhood dream has been fulfilled.

Det har ikke en roof yet... men det skal!

It isnt actally finished yet... cuz it went to minus 5 over night and the snows all fozen :( But soon it will have a roof and i will sleep in it ;)

Det skal være sjovt!

Procastionation.

I have to write an essay and do presentation and do another presentation for AFS. But i really dont want to. Haha so this is part of my prcastination. So far iv alreay tidyed my room and cleaned some clothes and drunken 2 cups of coffee.  No one told me id have to do homework this year.. they lie if they do.

Today we will have snow storm! So we had a snow day. And only had classes until 11. And this weekend iv been sick :( So no school yesterday. Might be cuz my gumboots arnt very warm.

Det er frozen lake.
Jeg har spiller sliding på det :)
Det var meget svojt.

This is a lake or sea or something. It is frozen! Onre day i  playerd on the ice. Cuz theres bits that are really slipply. So funny. Fall over a  bit too.

Det er windmillls ;)
I sne.

I thought id docoment the windmills. Since i have about a million from my first week here. Windmills in summer... Windmills in snow! Very exciting ;)

Jeg kan ice skate!
Men ikke så godt.

On Sunday i went with my family ice skating. I think i wrote once how sad i was about the ice skating place not open in næstve. But now it is. So thats real nice. Áfter i finally got them on i missioned it out to the ice. It didnt look too hard, there were lil kids skating around. But as soon as i stept on to the ice BAM. And down goes hilary. Some lil kids laughed at me. Now i was real determined. So i jumped back up and attempted to do the sliding thing. But all i manged was a shuffle. So i shuffled my way around the rink. Ha ha ha. But at lewast Pare wasnt much better ;)

Mig og min bror.
Glader til skate!

Christian og Johannas var godt.
Men ikke så meget mig og Pare.

Chrsitian was actally really good! And Johannas was decent. Me and Pare had to hold on to eachother andf sort of pulled each other along. Was kind of degrading all the small kids skating around. But thats ok. Wer not danish. Danish people are born knowing how to ice skate. And make snow balls. And bike in the rain without getting wet.

Det er fra vore AFS KBH tur med det ny exchange kids.

Copenhagen. Real pretty city. Not like Auckland at all. Which, by the way, is not the capital of New Zealand. So i dont know why i always compare copenhagen with auckland.

I went on a lil adventure today. The bus driver decided that he wouldnt drive through Menstrup today.  So i went for a lil walk through the stormy weather. Luckaly i hd my jaket with reflective strips.. So no cars ran me over. ;)

But im home now eating deliuos danish yogurt. Some reason its si uich better then NZ stuff. But our lamb is way better. ;)

Ok. Now i will do homework..

Hej hej :P

Mini exchange

Last week i went on a mini exchange that afs had organised. I went to a lil isalnd between zealand and Jutland caleed Fyen. It acts as kind of a bridge between the two islands.. but people live on it ;)

No it was nice though, because i got to live with another family and be thewir new daughter for a week ha ha. Lucky them ;) I had 2 little sisters, Mia who is 14 and Ida who is 8, and a little brother, 11. And a dog. I went to thiosa small primary school with only 60 kids. Its a 'friskole' which im not too sure what that means.. but it was pretty laxed. But everytime i went outside the kids would chase me with snowballs. Yeh.. i was bulled by 10 year olds. :( ha ha. Didnt do alot, just helped out with the small classes, lke made playdough and stuff like that.

Part of the programme involved doing a presentation and making traditional food... So me and the other nzder there, Kelsi, did a poi dance. It was great. ha ha ha.

For danish people a poi dance is kind of a traditional ´Maori dance used for training to fight and stuff.

Det er Maori poi dance.
Det er nice ;)

Unfortunilty there are no photos... ha ha ha we even had mokos and everything

Also went to mc donolds.

Det er i Mc Donolds
Det var meget sjvot!
Det snak danisk til os.

Danish food. Its called rugbrød and yep. Great stuff :D

Det er rugbrød... ha ha
Med skink og aguk. Tror jeg.

This is also danish.. its black salty licerous. Its alright.. ha ha one of my goas to learn how to enjoy it before i go back ;)

Yep ;)
Ikke så godt ha ha

One day i waiting for the bus on Fyen, so i went on a little walkand i found sheep ha ha ha. First sheep iv seen in Dk i think! So i had a bit of a moment. Ha ha

Det er sheep
Ikke husk på danisk? Få måske..
Og det er ike fra new zealand.. men måske!

Yep :) So that was Fyen. Ha ha.

Uhh this weekend some more kids cane to denmark on their exchange. So AFS organised a tour of Copenhagen. They fed us lunch so i went. Then i went to see the concert at Christiana for raising money for Haiti. So supporting a good cause ;) Was real nice.

But the main reason to go was to go to Subway. The only one i have ever seen in Denmark. But  had big lunch with AFS so i didnt even get any. Just a subway cookie. Introduced my friend Seb to it though. Just because it is so amazing. And thats subway the resturant not railway... some confusion over that one. ha ha ha.
So thinking i should go up soon and get some.

Yeh so weather update? Well its dark and cold. And snowy. So its alright. At least its not rain!
Next week it might go over 0 so that should be good! ha ha

Have a nice rest of holidays :)

Ses

Send me some warm please ;)

2010!

So its 2010 now! nice :)

Got a whole year of stuff to post about now :P
Just had holidays, was sweet. Had 2 and a half weeks off. So was good. Played in snow alot. Ha ha. I think my danish is alot bettter now though. Cuz at schoool i can actally listion and follow the gerneral idea of the class. But it takes alot of effort. Makes my head hurt. Learn bad habits of zoneing out whenever i hear danish.. its just backroundv noise. Like jibberish. even though i can understand alot if i make the effort.

And me and Farmor have more longer conversations now. rather then our daily talks on the weather and weather my washing shouid be done or not. She always reminds of the socks i left in the bathroom or kitchen or lounge. Stramper? Sounds like that. And everynight i aqlways go and put the ducks in thier lil house. I cant member if iv said, but one of them died!

I was doing washing.. and i walked into the wash place and chilling on the ground was this huge duck. I was like agh! I really hope we didnt eat it for christmas... i asked Johannas and he said we wernt.. but you never no.. Might have eaten Seymour. :(

In a few days... i will be half way through my exchange! I fully cant beleive that man. It feels so not long ago that we jumped on that plane. And soon ill be leaving! So i had bit of a `mid exchane crises and made a ælist of all the things i ant to do.

I really raelly want to go o a bike trip to somewhere. Like jutland! but thats kind of far away.. So Fyn maybe? Hmm. But thats the plan. Cuz theres these lil huts that yuo can camp in for like 30 krone! So its pretty sweet. BUT most of my list is summer things... so i raelly cant wait for the sun to get warm.

Uhh me and my host dad still go for our sunday swims. One sundaiit was snowing, _It was so so so cold.
But atm thyv ditchede me for thailand. So no swiming ... he he.

Its been minus 10 degrees! Useally chilling around the minus 5 mark. Never ever been so cold in my entire life. When yuor wakling outside you actally get brain freeze. And your body physially hurts. íts great!

Naw yesterday eni was walking smewhere, i droped my phone, and it landed in a puddle!! A big dirty puddle. And then i took it out. And then it froze. Inside the screen there were lots of nice crystals and astuff. But im pretty sure its working. So det godt! Dont stress.
Anyway. Im too lazy to put up pitures.. so use your imagination ;)

  Have a nice summer kids!
